A little bit of the person behind the shop...
If I was interested in buying any skin product, I would research the ingredients, but I'd also like to know a bit about the person behind the product.
I grew up with a father who was a M.I.T. professor and a mother who was an aesthetician. Having access to science and beauty probably formed the seed for my obsession with cosmetic chemistry.
My mother, Krystyna Lagowski, owned a skin care salon. It wasn't just another of Boston's 100's of salons - in 1996 her salon, "Krystyna's Skin Care" in Chesnut Hill, MA won the prestigious Best of Boston award for Best Skin Care and Facial. She was amazing with skin, and taught me many things about how skin behaves, absorbs, and uses certain ingredients. She entrusted me with the secrets to the most luxurious salon only products, and I was able to study the guides and supplements that described how each product worked. I had access to materials only the top aestheticians in the world have access to, and what I learned through this journey has helped in choosing ingredients that work, and not just claim they work.
My mother is now retired, but I still carry the wealth of knowledge I learned growing up with one of Boston's best skin care gurus. I use what I know about skin and the discipline of cosmetic chemistry and science to formulate products that not only feel wonderful, but benefit the skin.
